Privacy
Protecting your privacy is important to us. We do not sell your data to third parties and we do not use your data for any purpose other than to provide you with the best possible experience.
ArcticSQL is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy. Unlike many tools in this space, we store your data locally on your computer and offer the ability to use self-hosted models so that none of your data ever touches our servers.
But with that said, there are some things you should be aware of. When using ArcticAI instead of your own self-hosted models/services, your data is sent to ArcticAI's servers for processing. This data is not stored on our server and includes the following potentially sensitive data:
- The schema of your database.
- Manually created notes and example queries.
- Error messages produced by the database when running a query.
- Enum-like values (i.e. status fields) which are commonly used for filtering.
- A small number of example rows from tables which are relevant to your query.
When using ArcticAI, you can opt-out of sending many of these fields, at the cost of less accurate results. We encourage you to consult with your compliance team to ensure that all of your requirements are met. Alternatively, if you're compliance team has already approved either local models or a provider such as OpenAI, you can use those services with ArcticSQL, in which case none of the above data will be processed by our servers.
